The Dallas Cowboys is one of the most iconic teams in professional football. From time to time, the franchise provides fans with a memorable player or two. For the last few years, DeMarco Murray has filled that position. However, his reputation was forever tarnished after an ex-teammate from college accused Murray of having an affair with his wife. Now, the accuser, Brenna Clay, has proven just how crazy he really is after he assaulted his ex and got himself arrested.
Before his time as a professional, Murray played college ball for the University of Oklahoma. While there, he broke several school records and earned himself a third round draft pick by the Cowboys in 2011. However, this is also where Murray had the misfortune of meeting Brennan Clay.
When it comes to athletic ability, Clay was above average. In 2013, he played in all 13 games. Also, he rushed for an impressive amount of yards in the Sugar Bowl that year. However, according to Fox Sports, Brennan decided to self-destruct and blame the world after failing to make it into the NFL:
"Brennan Clay began tweeting that the Cowboys running back was having an affair with Clay's wife...A day later, Clay said that he was divorcing his wife, whom he identified as Gina, and said he found more than 50 'inappropriate' texts between Murray and his wife that 'made me disgusted.' The couple had only been married four months."
In recent news, it seems that Brennan really wanted to prove to everyone just how crazy he really is. According to TMZ Sports, Clay got pretty violent with his ex-wife:
"Ex-Oklahoma RB Brennan Clay -- who famously accused ex-OU teammate DeMarco Murray of banging his wife -- was arrested for assault after allegedly terrorizing his spouse...Clay was arrested in Dallas County, TX after his estranged wife Gina told cops he kicked down her door and proceeded to beat the crap out of her. According to the police report...Gina claimed Clay threw her on the kitchen counter, dragged her downstairs, dragged her through shrubbery and then began to choke her."
