UFC Next Fight Update: Laila Ali Out of Retirement to Face Ronda Rousey After Cat Zingano? [RUMORS]

Ronda Rousey currently reigns supreme as one of mixed martial arts' most dangerous fighters. No, this isn't exclusive to her division...or even to her gender. She is simply one of the best. "Rowdy" recently proved that even the heavily-hyped Cat Zingano couldn't knock her off her throne. Now, analysts are looking left and right for the next worthy opponent. According to sources, retired women's boxing champ Laila Ali has made it clear that she thinks she could beat the tyrannical Rousey. Based on her flawless record and long list of achievements, it is easy to see Ali as a real threat.

Even before she slipped on a pair of gloves for the first time, onlookers had high expectations for Laila. In turn, it was like a prophecy had been fulfilled when the young athlete stepped in the ring for the first time at the age of 18.

After that, as most of you know, her presence within women's boxing has been unrivaled.

In fact, her situation felt very much like Ronda Rousey's does now. However, according to TMZ Sports, Ali has officially said that she feels she could take down the champ:

"Laila Ali [says] there's NO WOMAN ALIVE who could beat her in a fight ... and that includes UFC superstar Ronda Rousey. Muhammad Ali's daughter...who was 24-0 in her boxing career...was...asked if she thought she could hang with the MMA superstar if the two ever decided to fight. [She] declared, 'No woman can beat me, period.' The 5'10" Ali also pointed out her size advantage over the 5'7" Rousey...'She's like the size of my daughter...my 3-year-old.'"

For some, Ali is simply talking smack because she knows she will never actually have to back up those words. Yet, after looking at a summary by Biography.com, Laili's statements don't seem so unrealistic after all:

"American athlete Laila Ali, daughter of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, has established her own reputation as a boxing champion and television personality. She defeated some of the most prominent names in women's boxing, retiring with a 24-0 record... [She] made her professional boxing debut in1999...She knocked out her opponent 31 seconds into the first round...Ali was named Super Middleweight Champion by the International Boxing Association, the Women's International Boxing Association and the International Women's Boxing Federation."
