Miley Cyrus, pop princess, has just released a snippet of her new song, “Wrecking Ball.” Is this sad song foretelling a breakup with actor Liam Hemsworth...or is she referencing her one-time love, Nick Jonas?
Gossip site Hollywood Life thinks “it’s a direct reference to her alleged relationship troubles with Liam Hemsworth.” But, what’s the line that gave it away? They believe it’s found in the chorus, when Miley sings, “I came in like a wrecking ball.”
If you’re looking for Miley to elaborate, you may be disappointed...or at least confused. The starlet said, “I feel like every girl, even if you’re not going through it right then, you think back on that one person who like… yeah.”
We still don’t know what that means, but it seems pretty clear from recent events that Miley and Liam are having serious relationship trouble. A source close to the couple revealed to Hollywood Life that their fighting leads to Liam ignoring her and:
“That’s so hard on her. It really, really upsets her when she can’t reach Liam, she wonders where he’s at and who he’s with. It’s torture for her and it’s her mom and dad that are left dealing with it.”
Apparently it’s more difficult on Miley’s pops, Billy Ray Cyrus, as the source explains:
“It breaks Billy Ray’s heart to see his little girl crying and he blames Liam. Miley is still Billy Ray’s baby, she always will be, so anytime someone hurts her he gets really defensive and over the past few months all the drama with Liam has been a huge emotional rollercoaster for her.”
