‘American Horror Story’ Taissa Farmiga Talks New Off-Broadway ‘Buried Child’ Revival

Sam Shepard’s Buried Child is back. The all new Off-Broadway revival of Pulitzer Prize-winning play stars American Horror Story: Murder House and Coven vet Taissa Farmiga. The play is directed by The New Group artistic Director Scott Elliott will performed at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center.


Taissa Farmiga met with artistic director Scott Elliott at the behest of her manager, as she told Playbill:

“I had a great conversation with him [for] about an hour and a half. We just talked about everything--from life to acting to theatre and me wanting to jump into it, [but] not knowing what I should do… I asked him that and he said, ‘Well, you can do my play/’ Later that night, my manager called me and said Scott loved you and would absolutely love it if you could do his play. I just thought he was joking.”

Buried Child is currently playing at t The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center.

Buried Child’s limited engagement has been extended and will now run through April 3. Buried Child clocks in at 110 minutes without an intermission. For more information please visit www.thenewgroup.org.
