Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel, who have been surrounded by rumors that they are getting a divorce, announced a few weeks ago through their publicist that, after 10 years of marriage, they were separating. The pair, both 42, first got together back in 1995, when they met on the set of ‘Rent’ and continued to work with one another in the awarded-winning musical, ‘The Wild Party.’ The couple has managed the split amicably so far, blaming their marital woes on conflicting schedules and too much time apart. That may not be all there is to the story. Some people are now saying that it was Taye’s cheating, not his schedule, that tore the couple apart.
Diggs and Menzel , both of whom are 42, were married in 2003. Thier boy Walker, now a 4-year-old, was born in the fall of 2009. Earlier this year, Idina Menzel, caving under the stresses of the crumbling relationship, admitted that the couple was having problems:
"We work at it, I'm not going to glamorize it or glorify it--we go through tough times like everybody else, but we love each other very much. We try not to be away from each other for more than two weeks at a time, and we try to find new ways to communicate."
It might be hard to communicate to your husband, when he is talking to some other girl. According to good people at Hollywood Life that may be exactly what is happening:
“Say it ain’t so! Sources tell The Gossip Table that one of the reasons ‘that caused rift in their marriage is Taye’s roving eye.’
The show didn’t offer any more details, but it sounds like the separation has been weighing on Taye’s mind for a while now. One of The Gossip Table‘s sources spotted Taye on the streets about two weeks ago and said he ‘wasn’t with his wife and he was looking tense and forlorn.’”
Let us pray that whatever has come between TAYZEL, they will be able to overcome it.
