Season 18 of The Bachelor doesn’t even start until January 5, 2014, but there is drama already. Spoilers have it that Lauren Higginson and Juan Pablo bring in a lot of baggage from their previous relationships. She needs love, and he wants his baby mama back.
Lauren Higginson is a 25-year-old business analyst from Oklahoma with quite the sob story. She was engaged to marry her 31-year-old coworker, Dayton Rose, this past August. It clearly didn’t work out, as an inside source tells Star:
“Dayton called her at work six weeks before and told her it was. He didn’t give her a reason, and it obviously fueled some insecurity for Lauren about men--even though she’s a lovely, wonderful woman.”
It isn’t clear if Juan Pablo will even be interested in the damaged goods, or any goods for that matter. He originally told Us Weekly that he was ready to find a new love for his life:
“I really wanted to have that wife and a couple [more] kids. Hopefully I'll find that stepmom for my daughter soon.”
That might not have been as sincere as he would like people to think.
Those that know him, say that the Miami based Venezuelan former soccer player is still hung up on the mother of his daughter. A friend explained to Star that love with someone else was a long shot for Juan Pablo:
“I just can’t picture him actually losing his heart to someone he only knows for a short while, especially with little [daughter] Camila involved. He’s Never stopped loving Carla.”
Then why don’t they just have her as a contestant on the show?
