Married talk show host Ellen DeGenres has more than just an impending divorce to deal with; Portia de Rossi's multimillion dollar wife reported dropped a huge $40 million chuck of her net worth down of one of the grandest houses in Hollywood. The only problem is the sprawling L.A. mega-mansion is rumored to be haunted by the old owners tortured spirit and is in need of a maximum strength exorcism. Apparently the comedian has managed to keep her failing marriage together for a while longer. According to whispers, Ellen made her Arrested Development spouse so happy by giving in to her demands to have a baby, that Portia has agreed to a very public wedding vowel renewal in her old home, Australia.
Nothing ever seems to run as smoothly as it's supposed to for TV type A personality Ellen DeGeneres, whether it finding a mate or a mansion.
Now that Ellen finally has finally gotten her marriage out of a tail-spin, perhaps she can focus on evicting her unwanted poltergeist house guest.
An insider supposedly told the National Inquirer that Ellen is have one hell of a time getting rid of her unpleasant roommate, the ghost of the late Frances Brody:
"The house had been remodeled, so Ellen thought it would have no trace of the former owner.
"But she was wrong. Within a few nights of moving in, Ellen started hearing random noises, including footsteps and doors opening and closing.
"She doesn't want her new home to have any bad energy, and she's not going to share it with Frances Brody.
"She doesn't have any other explanation for the mysterious sounds and voices...Friends have convinced Ellen to conduct a spiritual cleansing ceremony in the house."
Well at least Ellen can focus at the her mansion problems now that she has her martial issues in check.
A friend of the always affable Ellen told OK! Magazine that now that things were on an upswing, Portia and Ellen were thinking about renewing their marriage vows:
"[Ellen and Portia] are looking to do something on or around, August 16, their sixth wedding anniversary, in Portia's home country of Australia.
"It going to be a second honeymoon, a largely private trip...a simple ceremony, followed by a beautiful dinner party for a few loved ones."
Well if they don't have enough sense to get out of that marriage, then they should at least get out of the spooky-ass house.
