Rumor has it that Avril Lavigne and her husband of less than a year, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger are having marriage issues that may inevitably end in divorce. While no split has been publicly confirmed, the" Hello Kitty" feet Canadian crooner hasn't been seen sporting her wedding engagement rings on Instagram for quite some time. But don't get your hopes up yet Sk8er Bois, it's not like Avey's cheating or back on the dating market just yet. And even if she were, the diminutive pop-star is already on recovering sex addict David Duchovny's radar.
When Avril Lavigne lays down the law in a relationship, she expects rules to be followed no matter what, but her husband Chad Kroeger doesn't seem to give a rip.
That apparently isn't good, according to some insiders, who claim that Avril is ready to let to whole thing go, now that Chad refuses to behave himself on the road.
A close friend of Lavigne's told Star Magazine that she did her best to give Kroeger a framework in which to succeed but he refused to live the way he was told--insisting instead to act like some sort of rock star:
"When they first got together, Avril wore the pants.
"But Chad has reverted back to his old ways and doesn't check in like he used to."
And according to OK! Magazine, the post-punk sex symbol has taken off her wedding bands all together:
"The singer was photographed in L.A. without her engagement ring. Avril and Chad Kroeger haven't been married a year, but an insider says they can't trust each other.
"The friend says it's too emotional for Avril to look at her ring."
Chad had better get his stuff together if he plans to save his marriage, before dirty dog David Duchovny gets in there and works his magic.
With the way he was talking about the lady the other day, it is just a matter of time before Duchovny meets her to have Avril sign his daughters guitars or what have you, and then it's all over--at least for that night (via People):
"It was for my daughter's birthday in April, and she's playing the guitar now - which I love.
So I got her this Avril Lavigne black-on-black guitar with a skull on it. I realized that kids like to play a guitar that looks good."
It's not exactly a dedication of love, but all you need for Hank Moody to wreck a healthy marriage is for him to show up.
It could always be worse Chad...she could leave you for Gillian Anderson.
