It's been a second of two since Knocked Up motor-mouth Katherine Heigl was able to add any noteworthy project to her IMDB profile, but that is all about to change thanks to NBC taking a second chance on the offensive actress, despite her reputation for burning any and every one that gives her work. Just a few months ago Heigl was too broke to finance her indie lesbian romance flick by herself, but now that she's staring on the network series State of Affairs, she should be rolling in the money once again. Perhaps that's the reason she is throwing shade on Shonda Rimes and her ABC decade long hit, Grey's Anatomy,once again. Katherine was reportedly ready to fire her mom/manager Nancy earlier this year, if she refused to get her combative nature under control in their business dealings, but it seems that's all out the window now that she is close to her comeback. Heigl is already assuring folks that her new show is going to slam Grey's Season 11 in the ratings.
No one seems to like Katherine Heigl in Hollywood, and honestly, why should they?
Just about everyone who has ever had the pleasure of paying her for a performance has grown to regret due to her pathological need to shit on everyone she works with, right down to her own mother.
An insider told OK! Magazine that after Kathy's attitude has ruined every good thing they ever got going, she actually threatened to let her mom, Nancy, go if she didn't start acting sweeter:
"Katherine has gone out of her way to be kinder to people...the only problem is Nancy [her mother].
"Katherine told her that if she doesn't change her attitude, she's going to find a new manager."
So it might come as a surprise to you that shortly after NBC agreed to order a full season of her new show, State of Affairs, Katherine immediately started talking the same old smack talk--but probably not (via Star):
"After finally snagging a leading role again...[Katherine] is already stirring up trouble.
'My new show will kick Grey's Anatomy's ass in the ratings!' she boasted at the TV upfronts in NYC, even though her show has yet to air."
They only thing worse than someone with Katherine Heigl's sense of intitlment, is someone with her lack of talent to boot...So she is still batting 1000 at being biggest douchebag in the room.
An award that she will no doubt turn down, because someone else hasn't yet been thoroughly insulted enough for her to take it.
