Misty Copeland and Brooklyn Mack Brings Together Columbia City and Classical Ballets [SC NEWS]

Misty Copeland is coming to Columbia SC and teaming up with SC native Brooklyn Mack for the benefit of both Columbia Classical Ballet and Columbia City Ballet. A fundraising luncheon for both companies will be held this March.

  • Berklee & The Boston Conservatory Prepare for Merger?

    After opening its doors 149-years ago, The Boston Conservatory will soon be merging with Berklee College. Once the new school completes the necessary regulatory and accreditation review and approval process, later this summer, the combined institution will be known as Berklee with the Conservatory becoming The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. The hope is that by combining forces, Berklee and The Boston Conservatory will be able to lead the way in establishing new and original music genres and art forms for years to come.

    What happens when you slight the ballet? A Twitter backlash the likes of which you have never seen before. The dispute comes after an Eagles fan commented on their performance, saying the players "played like they were wearing tutus." In that regard, this ill-informed fan must be out of touch with what's required of being a dancer.
