Hofesh Shechter Talks ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ Adaptation

Not everyone has loved what Hofesh Shechter has done with the Jerome Robbins' chorography in Bartlett Sher's 50th anniversary revival of 'Fiddler on the Roof,' but the Israel born dance director seems to be taking the criticism in stride. The 41-year-old London based dancer and choreographer has commented that while some reviews have been harsh, his coming to Broadway has been a mostly positive affair.

Since 'School of Rock: The Musical' made its Broadway debut, the show's success, has Webber every bit as shocked as finding diamond in the rough and breakout star, Alex Brightman, to play the lead. In fact, it would seem that Webber has had some difficulties finding a worthy Dewey Finn replacement for the West End run -- recently postponing the show's London debut until the spring of 2017.

    Broadway legend Alan Cumming ('Cabaret') is coming to Carnegie Hall and he is bringing a few friends with him. In celebration of his upcoming album, 'Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs with Friends', the famed actor and singer will be performing songs from the record at the iconic venue this February. Joining Cumming on the stage will be his 2015 Tony Awards costar and Broadway favorite Kristin Chenoweth ('Wicked,' 'On the Twentieth Century'). Alan is also offering a warm willkommen to Darren Criss ('Glee', 'Hedwig and The Angry Inch') Ricki Lake ('Hairspray' films) and The New York City Gay Men’s Chorus.
