New York in The Winter Gets “Too Darn Hot” with NYU Steinhardt’s 'Kiss Me Kate' Production

Are you tired of New York’s cold winter weather? Well, have no fear because things are about to get hot. “Too Darn Hot,” in fact. NYU Steinhardt’s program in Vocal Performance is bringing Cole Porter's mega hit Broadway musical, Kiss Me Kate' to Frederick Loewe Theatre. The beloved musical was a “spanking” success winning the very first Tony Award for Best Musical in 1949. 'Kiss Me Kate' is based off and revolves around William Shakespeare’s 'The Taming of the Shrew', with the story taking place during a production of the classic play.

    KCON 2015 is coming this summer. The events, being held in Los Angeles and now in New York, will boast a host of K-Pop's top talent. Legendary K-pop group Shinhwa has been added to the dynamic lineup performing at KCON 2015 in Los Angeles. Shinhwa have stayed together the longest of any male group in Korea pop, having performed together since 1998. In March of 2015, Shinhwa released their seventeenth album, We. We is a greatest hits compilation of their collective work, which spans their entire 17-year-career.
