WWE and NXT Star Heath Slater Allegedly Replaced After Assault Charges and Arrest Warrant

Heath Slater has come a long way during his time with the WWE. Unfortunately, the West Virginia native might be facing some career-ending charges. Sources are saying that Slater has been given time off to deal with an arrest warrant for a 3-year-old assault charge. Even though Slater denies any involvement, the original report stated Heath aggressively choked a female security guard.

Before his time with the WWE, Slater trained at a school in Atlanta, Georgia. In turn, he was noticed by the WWE's recruiting agency. In 2006 he signed a developmental contract with NXT.

Since then, he has earned himself three WWE Tag Team Championship titles. All three of which have been with his Nexus and Corre ally, Justin Gabriel. Now, however, it looks like Slater is taking some time off.

According to Cage Side Seats, Slater may have even been replaced:

"Earlier this month, an arrest warrant was issued for WWE's Health Slater over a three year old assault charge from a post-WrestleMania 28 party. Slater denied any involvement in the incident, and the WWE stated they would withhold judgment until the process was farther along...the former Nexus and 3MB member hasn't been seen on television since November, however. [One report] claims that Slater was replaced on the WWE's house show circuit with Tyler Breeze, and is used to speculate that WWE is giving Slater time off to deal with the issue."

After the incident Slater posted a string of tweets that adamantly denied any involvement. However Bleacher Report suggest things are much more serious than Slater claims:

"According the original account of the incident, security guard Corinne Oliver accused Slater of assaulting her after he attempted to take her back to his room at an Atlanta hotel. When Oliver refused, Slater allegedly accosted her and began choking her. [She said], 'I just started fighting with him, trying to get his arm from around my throat.'"
