The New York Giants coaching rumors are beginning to fly and New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton wants to coach the Giants. That is a new rumor that has come out, although the Saints want a second-round pick from any team who wants to acquire him.
Payton would make a major impact on any team that acquires him, especially a team like the Giants. Moving on from Tom Coughlin is a big difference for the Giants and they will need another experienced head coach to replace him. That is where acquiring Payton would be a perfect transition for the Giants.
Jeff Darlington took to his Twitter account to report that Payton's dream coaching job would be the Giants.
I know it's long been rumor, but I heard as far back as camp from Saints sources that Giants are Payton's dream team. Timing feels so right.

Throughout his nine seasons as the head coach of the Saints, Payton has compiled an 87-57 record. He has gained complete respect from his team. That is what the Giants will need from their next head coach.
Hearing the news that the Payton is interested in coaching the Giants could force the team to look even harder at the possibility. If he truly wants to come in and be their next head coach, then trading a second-round pick might be well worth it. Payton is a Super Bowl winning coach and the Saints have improved immensely under him.
All of that being said, expect to hear plenty more rumors about Payton in the coming weeks.
New York is going to do a lot of interviews with other candidate, but don't be surprised if they talk with Payton as well. New Orleans definitely looks like they want to move him this offseason and the Giants are looking like an excellent landing spot for him.
