As a free agent this past off-season, the Washington Nationals rewarded his strong pitching by offering him a huge contract salary of over $200 million. The signing of the Cy Young Award winner is working out so far for the Nationals, with Scherzer performing towards the top of a star-studded rotation in a new league. -
'Charles Woodson Revives Hall of Fame Career With Oakland Raiders
In 1998, the Oakland Raiders selected University of Michigan Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson with their first pick of the draft, starting an illustrious Hall of Fame-worthy career. Woodson has been a consistently productive defensive back throughout his time in the NFL but has had a particularly great late career resurgence. With still setting career highs and the excitement going into this upcoming year because of coaching changes, the veteran continues his climb to the record books, with at least one more season for the black and silver.
