'Are the Arizona Cardinals Secretly the Best Team in the NFL?

At 6-1, the Arizona Cardinals are one of the best teams in the NFL right now. They are first place in the division that contains both last year's Super Bowl Champions and the NFC runner-up. But what is their identity. Hopefully, for owner Michael Bidwill, it includes a reputation for winning. Though the Cards have achieved 10 wins in a single season just twice since 1994, they are poised to capture the NFC West this year if they hold steady. With presumably the best cornerback in the NFL in Patrick Peterson, Arizona are quietly rebranding their team as an elite force in the NFC West.

    The San Diego Chargers, after getting out to an impressive 5-1 start this year, have dropped two games in a row. Their 5-game winning streak was stopped by a deceptively able Kansas City Chiefs squad, and then they ran into Hurricane Peyton and the Broncos fresh off of Manning's record-breaking performance against San Francisco last Sunday. So, in less than one week, The Chargers have become a 5-3 team. But somebody better keep an eye on Kansas City Chiefs, because excluding their embarrassing season opener loser to the Titans, the Chiefs are looking like a solid competitor looking to steal second place in the AFC West late in the season.

    Russell Wilson, who may as well be the face of the NFL right now despite his team's shocking 3-3 start, hangs out with white guys and does tons of commercials. He is, let's be honest, treated like a white guy by the media. In light of the Percy Harvin trade, rumors have begun to circulate that this is kind of a problem for some members of the Seahawks. Is there an element of racial tension amongst Seahawks teammates? Is the locker room divided between Russell Wilson supporters and an anti-Wilson faction who feel that he's not "black enough"?
