Nicole Richie has battled with an eating disorder before but reformed her ways after she became pregnant. Her husband Joel Madden has returned from Australia to find his wife could be facing death due to her new diet. According to new rumors, the Good Charlotte brother is ready to stage an intervention before things are too late.
Nicole Richie admits to having struggled with body issues in the past but seemingly doesn't understand what all the fuss about her weight is these days.
The reality star-turned-fashion designer told In Touch that she wasn't working out any more than she has been, and haters are just going to hate:
"I'm [exercising] two hours a day four days a week. This is the only workout I've ever done that I've been able to eat whatever I want."
According to OK! Cameron Diaz, who is a longtime friend of Richie and recently released a book all about fitness, is scared by Nicole's weight but doesn't really know how to say anything about it:
"Cameron is very concerned, but she's trying to be very subtle about it."
Whatever she has been doing while husband Joel Madden has been in Australia recording their version of the Voice, he reportedly hates it.
A source close to the couple told Star that Joel is afraid that is something is doesn't as soon as possible his wife might die:
"[Joel] flat out said that she is on the road to killing herself.
"He's scared to death that her organs will begin to shut down.
"But Nichole doesn't think anything is wrong. She thinks she is perfectly healthy."
The insider further explained to the magazine, Joel is at a loss of what to do with his emaciated bride:
"Joel feels like an intervention may be the only way to really help her recover, but she's in denial and no one can force her to get treatment."
Seems like the obvious answer is another baby, but then again, Nicole's so hungry she might eat it.
