Legacy Unveils Weather Report's 'The Legendary LiveTapes:1978-1981' in New 4-CD Box (REVIEW)

'The Legendary Live Tapes: 1978-1981' (Legacy Recordings) of Weather Report is over four hours of previously unreleased concert moments on four CDs. The classic lineup of Viennese keyboardist Joe Zawinal [1932-2007], saxophonist Wayne Shorter, bassist Jaco Pastorius [1951-1987] and drummer Peter Erskine is joined by Robert Thomas, Jr. on hand drums for some magical concert moments.

    Korean Pop star Psy has released a new music video that may actually give his first hit, "Gangnam Style" a run for its money. The new song, "Daddy" is equally up beat and the video may be even weirder than the K-pop star's first big hit, "Gangnam Style." The more I review these videos, the more I have to wonder if people actually enjoy them or if they just can't quite bring themselves to look away. This latest video is little more than a chauvisnistic horror show.
  • Karp and Foley 'Live For Hope' on 2-CD Package to Benefit Ovarian Cancer Research (REVIEW)

    Blues/Americana duo Peter Karp and Sue Foley have followed up their terrific 2012 Beyond The Crossroads with a double-live CD of each of them with their own bands. The CDs are sold as one double-disc to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. The live sets-both from 2004-show the strengths of each artist without the other.
