Spoleto Festival to Hold Open Auditions for 'Porgy and Bess' Choral Ensemble Feb. 19
The Spoleto Festival will be holding open auditions for all African-American singers seeking to be a part of the Porgy and Bess chorus line. Per a listing on the festival's website, the casting call is looking for singers in all voice categories wishing to be a part of the choral ensemble. With Nadia Sirota finishing up her much-anticipated residency at Symphony Space, so, too, has her latest episode of WQXR-Q2's Meet the Composer podcast just wrapped with everyone's favorite working composer, Nico Muhly.
