Sandy Duncan Leaves 'Finding Neverland' Production for Family Reasons
Veteran theater star, Sandy Duncan, best known for her iconic role as Peter Pan, has left her role in the Peter Pen prequel Finding Neverland and is not expected to return. Sources say that the actress was having problems with her role as Madame Du Maurier. There were only five performances of the musical in Duncan's well publicized return to Broadway. Officially this is being cited as a temporary departure due to "family reasons." Insiders say that the departure is permanent and that the role will be played by a temporary replacement for now till someone can be hired. Literary legend Harper Lee has passed away the age of 89 on Friday. Harper is universally for her famed novel 'To Kill A Mockingbird,' which has been adapted for both film and the stage. It was recently announced that Lee’s masterwork will be adapted once again by stage and screen writer, Aaron Sorkin ( 'A Few Good Men,' 'The West Wing'and directed by Bartlett Sher ('The King and I,' 'Fiddler on the Roof').
