‘American Horror Story’ Vet Zachary Quinto’s New Off-Broadway Play ‘Smokefall’ Opening In Feb

Fans of 'American Horror Story' might still be shaking their fist in the air and writing letters to Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk begging them to bring Zachary Quinto back to the anthology series. However, they shouldn’t hold their breath. Quinto has made a commitment to do more theater. Now Quinto is getting ready for the open of his new off-Broadway play, 'Smokefall.' This coming off of a successful run on Broadway in the 2013 revival of 'The Glass Menagerie.'

    Put on some Huey Lewis, wrap your floors in plastic and make sure you have returned any overdue video tapes, because 'American Psycho the Musical' is getting ready to open on Broadway. The musical's book was written by Marvel Comics and 'Glee' writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, with music and lyrics by 'Spring Awakening's' Duncan Sheik. The show originally opened in London and stared 'Doctor Who' vet Matt Smith as Patrick Bateman, but it is Benjamin Walker whose name is on the business card for Broadway. The Broadway production will also reunite 'Next to Normal' mother and daughter pair Alice Ripley and Jennifer Damiano respectively.

    Besides being a festival of contemporary composition the likes of which isn't often seen this side of the Atlantic, the Czech Republic's biennial Ostrava Days plays host to a two-week institute for composers and performers, where students get the opportunity to workshop with and have their works reviewed by some of the the major figures invited to the nine days of concerts, which follow on the heels of the institute. But once the festival proper is underway, such hierarchies evaporate, as students perform with and have their work presented alongside the headliners.
