5 Bold Predictions for Houston Texans vs. Kansas City Chiefs in NFC Wild Card NFL Playoffs

The Houston Texans are set to face off against the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFC Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs. What five bold predictions can be made for the game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?

1. Brian Hoyer Throws for at Least 300 Yards and Three Touchdowns

It has been a huge season for Texans' quarterback Brian Hoyer, as he has proven that he is a very capable NFL starter. He will show that once again with a 300-yard and three touchdown performance against a solid Kansas City defense. Hoyer has to step up in a big way if the Texans want to pull out a win and he will rise to the occasion.

2. Jeremy Maclin Goes Off for 125 Yards, Two Touchdowns

If the Chiefs are going to pull out a win, they will need their offense to come through with a big game. Houston has one of the hottest defenses in the NFL right now, although that will not stop Jeremy Maclin from making his mark on the game. Maclin will go off for 125 yards and two touchdowns throughout the game and will once again prove the Chiefs right for signing him.

3. J.J. Watt Will Record at Least Three Sacks on Alex Smith

There are not many defensive players in the NFL that are capable of making as much of an impact on a game as J.J. Watt has been this season. He will come up with a big game this week against the Texans and will record at least three sacks on Alex Smith. Houston needs their defense to make plays and Watt will do his part.

4. Kansas City Racks Up Over 150 Yards on the Ground

Whether the Chiefs hand the football to Charcandrick West or Alex Smith picks up yards on the ground, Kansas City knows they need a rushing attack. Smith cannot do it all by himself through the air. Andy Reid will establish the ground game early and often this week and will rack up 150 yards on the ground.

5. Houston Advances to the Division Round with a Close Victory

Both of these teams are going to bring everything they have to the field and it should be a very entertaining game. Houston is the better all-around team and will find a way to come out with a big win. It will come down to the wire, but the Texans will make the plays to get the job done.
