There's an old saying about your past comng back to haunt you. Usually, we are able to get away far enough from our pasts where that isn't really that big of worry. In the case of former Bollywood sweethearts Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, their past were two of Bollywood's biggest stars, Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone. Both have been implicated in the break up of Kapoor and Kaif. How much truth to it is there? Is it possible that one of them actually had a hand in breaking them up?
This is where the fun part begins because the online Bollywood media outlets are as reliable as a recovering drug addict in Colombia, not very. Now outlets have begun to focus on the Katrina Kaif/Salman Khan aspect of the story, suggesting that Ranbir was insecure about Katrina hanging around her ex. For those of you behind, Katrina made an appearance on the season finale of Salman Khan's reality show Big Boss 9, reportedly against Ranbir's wishes. According to Ary News, "According to various Indian websites, one of the major reasons for Katrina breaking up with her latest boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor was Katrina's decision of appearing on Bigg Boss 9's finale. Reports and sources suggest Ranbir was a little miffed at Kat for saying yes to appearing on Bigg Boss 9. Ranbir was insecure and did not approve of Katrina meeting her ex-boyfriend Salman."
Of course, this stands in sharp contrast to what has been previously reported. Leading up to the break up, it was believed that Katrina was unhappy and feeling insecure about Ranbir's closeness to Deepika Padukone. Back then, Ranbir's decision to do Tamasha, with Deepika, was seemingly drawing a wedge between the two. Quote Bollywood Life, "Katrina has been keeping track of Tamasha ever since the first promo came out. Enough has been said and written about whom Ranbir Kapoor makes the best pair with - Deepika or Katrina. Why is this important? It's simple. He is the hottest actor after the Khan triumvate, and whoever makes the hottest pair with him, will get the chance to act in more films with him. Kat is worried that the DP-RK chemistry will overshadow her pairing with him. Her team has instructed Anurag to up the sizzle-ante between his lead pair. A major chunk of JJ will be shot in January and that's where the magic between Katrina and Ranbir will be captured."
