''To Kill A Mocking Bird' Writer Harper Lee Dies at 89
Literary legend Harper Lee has passed away the age of 89 on Friday. Harper is universally for her famed novel 'To Kill A Mockingbird,' which has been adapted for both film and the stage. It was recently announced that Lee’s masterwork will be adapted once again by stage and screen writer, Aaron Sorkin ( 'A Few Good Men,' 'The West Wing'and directed by Bartlett Sher ('The King and I,' 'Fiddler on the Roof'). -
'‘SLUT the Play’ & ‘NOW THAT WE'RE MEN’ Have Been Extended Til March
The Arts Effect production of 'SLUT the Play' and its male companion piece 'NOW THAT WE’RE MEN' have been extended at the Dixon Place in New York. SLUT the Play will now run till March 6. The reposnce to SLUT the Play has proved the show so sucessfull that last year it lead the publishing of 'Slut: A Play & Guidebook for Combating Sexism and Sexual Violence' in February 2015 by the Feminist Press, and the launch of the StopSlut.org movement.
