It would seem that Princess Kate Middleton is determined to buck England's head of state, despite the iron grip Queen Elizabeth is reportedly used to having over the royal family. According to the latest gossip news updates, Prince William's wife has canceled a centuries long tradition of spending Christmas Day at the palace, as well as the pheasant hunt the day after. The royal events will go on just as they always have, but this year Kate will be spending time with George, Charlotte and her parents, instead of trotting off to the Queen's to celebrate the holidays like she's done in the past. Word has it that Kate has even resisted Elizabeth's pressure to get a shorter haircut -- opting to go for a long bob instead of the mandated hack job.
