In 2012, Colin Kaepernick performed like a veteran, even though it was only his second season in the league. At the time, he was one of the hottest topics in professional football. Since then, his popularity has significantly decreased, and the 49ers haven't faired too well either. In turn, Kaepernick and teammate Vernon Davis blew off some steam in a steamy Levi's photoshoot with the sexy 'Sports Illustrated' model, Samantha Hoopes. This is the first news fans have heard of Colin since he was involved in a "suspicious" sexual assault allegation in 2014.
Before his time as a professional, #7 played college ball for the University of Nevada Wolf Pack. During his time there, he stacked an impressive list of accomplishments.
He was named the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, twice, and he earned the title of MVP of the 2008 Humanitarian Bowl.
This list combined with his overall impressive performances earned him a second round pick by the San Francisco 49ers during the 2011 NFL Draft. As stated, he did very well in his second season.
However, since then, things haven't been quite the same. According to TMZ Sports, he blew off some steam in a sexy photoshoot:
"With their team in peril, nothing brings a quarterback and a tight end together like a photo shoot with a hot Sports Illustrated bikini model...SF 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and Vernon Davis hooked up with Samantha Hoopes for a photo shoot for Levi's jeans...and despite the crappy weather, Hoopes looked like she was ready for the beach...As for Colin and Vernon, it looked like there was some friendly competition for Sam's attention -- and they even threw some friendly zingers at each other."
Disappointingly, this is the only news we have heard concerning the prospect in a long time. According to Mercury News, the last time his name came up was under reputation-tarnishing circumstances:
"Miami police said that 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and two other NFL players are linked to an investigation involving a woman who said she woke up in a hospital after drinking with the players, but said none of the players had been arrested or charged with any crime. The April 1 incident involved a woman with whom Kaepernick reportedly had a previous sexual relationship..."
