Cast List Announced for Carnegie Hall’s ‘West Side Story’ with Skylar Astin & Morgan Hernandez
'West Side Story' is coming to Knockdown Center this March for a special three night concert performance presented by Carnegie Hall. today announced the full cast for its upcoming production of West Side Story. The performance will be directed by Amanda Dehnert. Marin Alsop serves as conductor and music director. The cast includes Skylar Astin ('Spring Awakening') as Tony and Morgan Hernandez as Maria. The show will also feature 14 high school students from New York and New Jersey, as well as a choir of nearly 200 students from all five New York Burroughs. London is about to get really lucky. Not only did Guys and Dolls recently make its way to the West End but soon it will be heading into the living rooms of all of Britain. The BBC will be recording the production of the classical musical directed by Gordon Greenberg. The recording will come soon to include the initial cast which includes: Jamie Parker as Sky Masterson, Siubhan Harrison as Sarah Brown, Sophie Thompson as Miss Adelaide and David Haig as Nathan Detroit. Parker and Thompson first appeared together in the 2014 Chichester Festival Theater. The current production is playing at London's Savoy Theatre.
